Saturday April 6 – end of September: “Getting Started in Fly Fishing Class”
Every Saturday Starting in April we will have our free from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon. You will learn how to rig your rod, cast, necessary knots and effective flies to fish dry flies, nymphs and streamers.

Saturday May 4: Blue Quill Angler Annual Fly Fishing Extravaganza - 25th Year Celebration
The Blue Quill Angler annual Fly Fishing Extravaganza will be held on Saturday May 4, 2013 from 9:00 to 4:00. On location will be many of the areas best guides and fly fishing personalities, sharing their expertise from thousands of hour on the water fly fishing, tying flies, and guiding. Presenters include Pat Dorsey, Steve Parrott, Bob Dye, Cody Scott Landon Mayer and Kerry Caragher. Dan Wright, an FFF Master and Two Hand Certified casting instructor will give free personal casting evaluation and tips throughout the day.

Representatives from Sage Fly Rods, Simms Fishing Products, RIO Fly Lines, Ross Reels, Smith Optics, Redington, Scientific Anglers will have the latest and greatest products on hand for you to peruse.

This year we have something additional to celebrate. 2013 is our 25th anniversary! The Blue Quill Angler opened its doors in May of 1988 with the purpose of teaching all aspects of fly fishing, through fly fishing classes, on the stream instruction, and guided fly fishing trips. The first 100 people who show up for this years event will receive a “Limited Edition” Blue Quill Angler 25th Anniversary hat!!!!! Get here before they are gone.

While we still teach all aspects of fly fishing through our plethora of classes and guided trips, we also provide the World with what we feel are the best fly fishing products on the planet through our award winning web site.

We will have a ton of specials on just about everything in the store as well as some incredible raffle items that will take place throughout the day.

The line-up of seminars for the day will keep you busy along with the ability to demo rods, play with reels, try on new Simms and Redington products and Smith Optics glasses.

We will also have a informal casting competition with the new Sage Circa fly rod that we think you will find amazing. Hitting the targets will earn you extra raffle tickets for the hourly drawings!! Cast a super fun fly rod and increase your chances of winning.
