Introduction to Fly Tying Classes starting up in January:
This introduction to fly tying is taught by Jim Cannon and will take place on Tuesdays from 6:00 to 8:00. You will learn the basic skills needed to create your own amazing patterns. Dates for the class are January 12th through February 9th(this class is filled) and March 22nd through April 18th. Classes are limited to 6 students. Now here is the best part!!! The cost of the class is $125.00 and we give you a $125.00 gift certificate to purchase the necessary materials for the class. By doing this, the student can take the materials home and practice what they have learned.

Winter Guide Trips
Through March 15 we are offering a special reduced rate on guide trips. Just $295.00 for a 6 hour trip for one or two anglers. We provide flies, leader, a lunch, waders and rods if needed at no extra charge. Winter is a great time to refine your nymph fishing tactics! You might even encounter some rising fish eating midges and really have some fun.

January 23: A Tactical Look at Fishing Rivers: Blue Quill guide Joe Shafer. Covers equipment, casting, rigging, and proven techniques to fish rivers.Learned from hundreds of days on the river fishing and guiding. Also if time allows a fly tying demo on some of Joe's most productive patterns.

January 30: A Tactical Look at Fishing Lakes with Joe Shafer: Blue Quill Guide Joe Shafer will cover equipment, casting, rigging your rod for lake fishing. Plus entomology, where fish are found in a lake and flies as they relate to seasonal strategies.

February 6: Mike Kephart: Fishing High Mountain Lakes Mike is the author of "A Fly Fishers Guide to Colorado's Lost Lakes and Secret Places" and will share some of his high mountain lake strategies.

February 13: West Denver T U Fly Tying Clinic held at Jefferson County Fair Grounds: Tickets at the door - Jefferson County Fairgrounds.

February 20: Kerry Caraghar: Fly Fishing Clear Creek The stream that used to be polluted and devoid of fish has become our favorite local stream. With over 30 miles available to fish, it may become one of your favorite also.

February 27: Pat Dorsey: Seminar - "Fly Fishing Colorado's Best Tailwaters" from 10:00am to noon. After the free seminar a fly tying class on "Tying Tailwater Flies"will follow from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Cost of the fly tying class is $50.00 and is limited to 6 anglers. Reservations necessary. This class is filled.

March 12: Landon Mayer - Seminar at 10:00 am "Trout Tips" Seminar will run from 10:00 am to noon. After the free seminar a fly tying class will be held at 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm covering Landon's favorite "Guide Flies", you know the ones that catch fish!. Limited to 6 angers cost is $50.00. By reservation only.
