The Blue Quill Angler in conjunction with the Chris Andersen of the
Sage Fly Rod Company will host our first Skagit Spey clinic on
Sunday, July 25. Chris is the national sales manager for the Sage Rod Company, lives on Bainbridge Island, Washington. He has guided fly fishers for over 14 years in Northern Manitoba, Alaska, Chile, and the Pacific Northwest with overhead as well as spey rods and is a industry expert when it comes to the Skagit style of spey casting.

Chris grew up in Northern Wisconsin and has traveled the World extensively chasing trout, salmon, permit, bonefish, tarpon and his favorite fish, steelhead. Give Chris a two handed rod and you will be amazed at the efficiency, and effortless bombs across the river.
Chris will start with the basics and progress from there. You will leave with the necessary skills to become a proficient spey caster which will open the doors to new style of fishing that is very effective not to mention a lot of fun!!
Spey rods and all necessary equipment will be provided for the class. Pre registration is required and limited to 6 students.
