Women only classes are taught by Blue Quill Angler Orvis Endorsed guide Sarah Barclay. She has a tremendous amount of skill, knowledge of fly fishing, and is a talented instructor.

Sarah caught her first fish, an eighteen inch codfish, at the ripe old age of six on a drop line in the middle of Massachusetts Bay (she even has the picture to prove it)! Her interest in fish and all things fishing have brought her to interesting corners of the world, namely Japan and Norway, to study commercial fisheries.

Sarah is a self professed fly fishing addict and spends as much time as possible in and around the rivers of Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho. She owns a drift boat and frequents the Roaring Fork and the Colorado River. Sarah enjoys tying flies and lays claim to a top secret kookiness midge pattern that works every time (well almost) on the Blue come late fall.

Her love of teaching has brought her to the Blue Quill Angler where she looks forward to sharing her knowledge and passion for fly fishing with women interested in learning the basics. Sarah is a member of the Colorado Women Fly fishers and lives in Boulder, Colorado.
