will offer new and seasoned anglers the opportunity to learn from experts in the field.
At the Rocky Mountain Fly Fishing School
, anglers will have three classes to choose from based on their interest, skill level and scheduling needs. Two courses will focus on the basics of fly fishing, including entomology, fly selection, knot tying, fly casting, rod rigging, wading saftey and reading the water. One course will provide specific concentration on improving casting skills. All courses will feature rods and reels from Sage
and a fully loaded Umpqua pack with leaders, tippet, floating and flies for you to use on the river. teachers from the Blue Quill Anglers extensive stable of qualified guides and certified casting instructors.
We all live and breath fly fishing and we are passionate about getting you started on the right track to a lifetime of fly fishing enjoyment. All of our courses are taught by our veteran Blue Quill Angler which have been teaching fly fishing classes for over 30 years. Sage Fly Fishing School courses include:Beginner Fly Fishing Class:
Students will spend two weekday evenings in the classroom and one full day on the water. Class size will be limited to six students with one instructor. Cost is $195.00Fly Fishing School:
Students will spend one full day in the classroom and one full day on the water. Class size will be limited to ten students with two instructors. Cost is $400.00
Sage Women's Only School:
This is a comprehensive starter course for women only. It is taught by instructor and guide, Sarah Barclay. Cost is $195.00
