The Northern Lights Lodge is our premiere fishing destination in British Columbia. On the edge of the Canadian wilderness, visitors to this Lodge will fish some of Canada’s finest rivers – including select river access available only to clients of the Blue Quill Angler. This destination provides the ultimate in world-class fly-fishing. Your professionally guided fly-fishing adventure is an incredible experience for anglers of all abilities. The family owned and operated Northern Lights Lodge is located on the shore close to the outflow of beautiful Quesnel Lake - the deepest fresh water fjord in the world stretching 80 miles to the East Arm and 50 miles to the end of the North Arm – a beautiful and pristine setting. The Lodge was built in the 1940s from native cedar and offers old school hospitality along with a unique, exceptional fishing experience.

Our trip includes 5 full days of professionally guided fishing on the Mitchell, the Quesnel, the Horsefly and the Cariboo rivers. With a ratio of 2 anglers per guide, angling includes float trips as well as wade fishing to these exclusive waters. (The lodge also offers tremendous stillwater fishing with over 40 small lakes in the area.) Guests fly into Williams Lake, British Columbia via Vancouver and are greeted by the staff and chauffeured to the Northern Lights Lodge in Likely, B.C.

Accommodations include lodge rooms as well as individual private cabins for couples. Following a successful day of trout fishing, anglers share tales and relax before dinner at cocktail hour that often includes pre-dinner game of Bocce ball or just enjoying the solitude and listening to the sound of Loons swimming nearby in Quesnel Lake. Meals include generous servings of home cooked, sumptuous food that satisfy the heartiest of appetites – followed by homemade pies and desserts.

For your pleasure a complimentary fly-tying bench is set up in the common room. It's equipped with vices and all the accessories needed to make your own flies; enthusiast and novice alike find this a great way to spend the evening by the fireplace.

No worries if you have forgotten essential gear – the lodge’s fly shop carries fishing necessities as well as logo-monogrammed clothing for souvenirs.
