The purpose of this class is to introduce the beginner to the basic fly tying techniques that are necessary in order to produce durable imitations of nymphs, streamers, wet and dry flies. We make a point of featuring only the most effective Rocky Mountain fly patterns. These basic skills and techniques learned in this class will give the novice tier the ability to tie hundreds of different patterns.

The next series of classes will start on Saturday March 6, and will continue for five Saturdays, March 13, March 20, March 27, April 3, April 10, 2010.The class will meet at 2:30 pm until 4:30 PM each Saturday. The cost for this class is $125.00 and each person who registers will receive a $125.00 store credit that can be used to purchase fly tying tools, hooks, materials, or fly tying books. In other words the class is free if you buy your materials and tools from us. This class will consist of two sessions on tying nymphs, two sessions on tying streamers, and two classes on tying dry flies.
Although this is an entry level class, we have found that many intermediate fly tiers find it to be extremely valuable in taking their skills to the next level.

You may use our tools and materials for the class. Pre-registration is necessary. Call the Blue Quill Angler at 303-674-4700
