Blue jeans are not recommended as they will retain moisture and are very bulky. You will want to layer on the top as it may be cool in the morning and warmer in the afternoon. This way you can shed a layer when you start to warm up.

Where are you located?
We are located in Evergreen, Colorado which is 30 miles West of Denver in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. We are 1 hour from the Denver International Airport. Take I-70 West to exit 252 - Evergreen Parkway and go to the third stop light and make a left on CR 65. Follow that for about 200 yards to a traffic circle and make a hard right out of the traffic circle and the shop is located about 300 yards on the left. Map to the Store

When is the best time to come?
Our classes typically start around the second or third week of April depending on the weather. We can have pretty big snow storms in April so we have to play it by ear. Most students will shoot for May through October when the weather is nice and the fishing is great. We do have a spring snow run-off to contend with but we are blessed with tailwater fisheries below dams that control the flows and keep us fishing through the high water.

The Sage 101 Fly Fishing Class is $150.00 per student. There are a few things that you will need to purchase for the day on the river like a leader, some tippet material, a fishing license (one day license is $9.00), flies and any other items that you feel will help you be self-sufficent on the stream. The instructor for the course will make recommendations the second evening of the class but there is no obligation to purchase everything they suggest.

The Sage 201 Fly Fishing School is $250.00 per student. Everything that you need for the classroom and day on the river are included, even a one day fishing license. If you have gear you would like to bring, please do so but our's is at your disposal.
