This dry fly class is for fly-fishers of all abilities. The course begins with a discussion on rods, reels, leaders and tippet, as well as, the proper rigging of a conventional dry fly rig and a dry/dropper set-up.
After the discussion, the class moves to the river where students receive one-on-one instruction from Pat Dorsey plus a wealth of information concerning seasonal strategies, reading the water, matching the hatch, unmatching the hatch, presentation, setting the hook, playing, landing and safely releasing fish.
The class is taught on the private waters of the North Fork Guest Ranch, which is host to a multitude of powerful trophy trout.
