About the Sage VXP:

Sage felt the time had come to make some drastic improvements to the VT2 series rods and when making this consideration, took the popularity of the old Sage XP into account to develop the Sage VXP.  This is not the old XP tapers we all loved but a new taper based on the XP that is better than ever.

With ultra high line speed and a super slender shaft design that reduces the overall weight, each and every VXP in this series is super smooth and extremely responsive.  Each rod has a varying taper for the weight an length so they feel great across the range of line weights and lenghts.

Super fast action with slim ferrule technology makes this rod the perfect choice for all-round fishing and casting. Shadetree green blanks are apportioned with hard chrome snake guides and a pewter color, uplocking reel seat with wood insert on smaller line weights and an anodized aluminum reel seat, double lock rings and 1'' fighting butt on heavier models.
