About the Sage VXP:
Sage felt the time had come to make some drastic improvements to the VT2 series rods and when making this consideration, took the popularity of the old Sage XP into account to develop the Sage VXP. This is not the old XP tapers we all loved but a new taper based on the XP that is better than ever.

Although I own a couple of Sage XP's I was looking for a valued priced rod to replace a Sage RPL. The VXP is a great rod at a great price. Blue Quill service was excellent.
