About the Sage TXL-F:
It was back to the drawing board for Jerry Siem at Sage to develop an ultra lightweight fly rod that would break down into 4 sections for ease of travel into the backcountry or any destination for that matter. The TXL-F was the creation which features a moderate/fast action built on Sage's Generation 5 Graphite technology which makes the rod stronger and lighter with the way the graphite is laid up. Jerry also incorporated new Micro Ferrule Technology that transfers power more efficiently between the sections, increased the strength of the entire rod and reduced the weight 33% of the old TXL.
