Bugwater is that soggy place inhabited by creepy, crawly, hopping, flying, wriggling creatures we call, if imprecisely, bugs. Organized around the seasons, BugWater follows the bugs and the trout through their life cycles from spring through winter. With a doctorate in biochemistry, Arlen Thomason built a career as a molecular biologist. His photos have appeared in fly-fishing magazines and on the internet. He lives in Walterville, along Oregon's McKenzie River.
