Like the 20 Incher stonefly nymph? You will love it tied on a jig hook with better hooking power and weight. Perfect fly for anchors in heavy water

The tungsten bead makes this fly very heavy, and it plummets right to the bottom. I like fishing this guy in size 10 as the anchor fly in my euro setup, as is imitates stone flies well, but like a prince nymph, the fish grab it mostly because it looks buggy, and the hackle they put on it really gives it some nice movement in the water. Try it on new (preferably rocky) water as a searching pattern, or as an anchor.

I love this fly! I used the fly for the skwala stoneflies and it worked better than any other fly I've tried this year. I like the fact that its a jig hook because it doesn't get hung up as bad.
