Tips and Other Information: Fishing remains productive on the North Fork near Shawnee. Productive patterns include: #16 Hot tail flash eggs, #18 Mercury Red Pheasant Tails, #20 Sparkle Wing RS II’s, #20 Pearl Jams, #18 Red Copper Johns, #18 Mercury Caddis, and #20 Mercury Black Beauties. Egg patterns will become very effective in the next two weeks as the browns are colored up and ready to spawn. Please watch your step and avoid fishing to trout positioned in shallow riffles. Be on the look out for fall-spawning rainbows too.
