From the time John was a young boy, this Colorado native lived to fish the local waters surrounding his hometown of Shawnee. The South Platte River was located just across the road from his grandparents’ store where he spent as much time as possible escaping his chores for the solitude of time on the water. Local creeks and beaver ponds were his stomping grounds and, today, the evidence of his tall tales can still be found in the footprints left behind there.

“ The greatest satisfaction in my life is sharing my passion for fly fishing with others. When I am outdoors in the mountains I am totally in my element. As a guide for the Blue Quill Angler, I am able to share with other anglers a sport that I crave and am constantly excited about away from the fast paced and crazy world that we live in. It is a good feeling to help people have a great day on the river!
