Anselmo
Clay picked up his first fly rod at the age of eight, taking it daily to small creeks in the Cascade Mountains of Washington State where he spent the first fifteen years of his fly fishing career learning to catch trout, salmon, and steelhead.

Now a fifteen year resident of Colorado and a nine year guide at the Blue Quill, Clay calls the front range rivers of Colorado his home waters. Though Clay owns and runs a successful consulting business in Lakewood, Colorado, he finds ample time to indulge his fly fishing passions and guides several days a week throughout the spring, summer and fall seasons.

When fishing on his own, Clay enjoys traveling to exotic locations and has fished all over the western hemisphere where he loves to chase giant fish with a fly rod. From King Salmon in Alaska to Sail Fish in Costa Rica, if Clay is not guiding, you can find him planning his next big-fish adventure.

"More than anything, I enjoy sharing the outdoor experience and helping beginner and intermediate anglers experience fly fishing in new ways. Whether its small brook trout on brush lined streams or chasing the elusive Cheeseman rainbow, guiding is all about showing the client something they have not seen before."
