I am fortunate to have learned to fly fish since I was 10 years old. My father taught me on the rivers in northwest colorado and the headwaters of the Colorado River in Rocky Mountain National Park. I attribute my passion for fly fishing to my father and enjoy guiding as a chance to pass on what was passed on to me as a young boy- that the outdoors are a special place and fishing is an art, a skill, and a lifetime sport.
I am a high school teacher in my "other life" so I really enjoy educating clients, including children, of the intricacies of fly fishing during my summer vacation. I am patient and positive and love to see beginners hook up for the first time. If one can come out of a fishing trip having learned something, then the day was well worth it. I have also volunteered my time guiding for Casting for the Cure, a program for women surviving breast cancer.
I love to spend time with my daughter Marin at our home in Denver. Hope to see you on the river!
