Steve came to us out of the blue in February 2006 . Just having moved from western North Carolina, Steve walked in the door and asked Jim if he needed any help. He is now the shop manager/co-owner and oversees the day to day operations at the Blue Quill and anything to do with the website.

Before coming to the Blue Quill, Steve had owned his own guide service for fourteen years and partnered with a fly shop back east the last six of those years.

His knowledge of the industry is impeccable whether it is guiding, casting or any product manufactured to date. Steve is a Federation of Fly Fishers Certified casting instructor and is on the advisory team for Sage Fly Rods and Simms Fishing Products.

In 2010, Steve took one of his lifelong passions, European Nymphing and produced an award winning DVD titled Czech Nymphing 101 & Related European Methods. A must see for any angler wanting to improve his or her nymphing skills.

The knowledge and experience that Steve brings to the Blue Quill are two of the reasons we are where we are today, and for that we are truly thankful.
