Dan Wright is the Blue Quill Angler Guide Coordinator and Director of Fly Fishing Schools. He is an International Federation of Fly Fishers Master Certified Fly Casting Instructor and Certified Two Hand (Spey) Casting Instructor. He formerly served on the IFFF’s Casting Instructor Certification Program Board of Governors.

Dan also guides for us, having previously served for many years as a BQA guide and instructor in our schools. He has guided saltwater fly fishers for bonefish, permit, and tarpon in the Florida Keys, and was a guide and school instructor in the Great Lakes steelhead and trout streams of Michigan. He has taught casting and saltwater fishing workshops in Mexico’s famed Ascension Bay and Sian Kaan Biosphere of the Yucatan.

Many of you may have been instructed by Dan, as he as taught both private and group fly casting instruction in the Denver area for many years. He also has presented numerous workshops and discussions on Rocky Mountain trout fishing, saltwater angling, and steelhead Spey fishing methods. He served as the Midwest Field Editor for Fly Fisherman magazine while living in Michigan, and has been published a number of times by that esteemed publication. He has written for a number of other magazines and private publications.
