Free Fly Tying Classes - 1:00 to 2:30pm Have you ever been curious about how to tie flies? Well now is your chance to learn for free with some of the best tyers in Colorado. Free Classes will be held every Saturday from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. starting November 15 and continuing until the end of March. We will cover the basics and finish the class tying a fly. All materials and equipment will be provided.

If you are interested in learning a little more in depth how to tie other patterns you can continue from 3:00 until 5:00 pm. in our Intro to Fly Tying 202 class. This class starts March 14 and meets every Saturday from 3pm-5:00 pm and ends Saturday April 18. The cost for this class is $125..00 and each person who registers will receive a $125.00 store credit that can be used to purchase fly tying tools, hooks, materials, or fly tying books. In other words the class is free if you buy your materials and tools from us. This class will consist of two sessions on tying nymphs, two sessions on tying streamers, and two sessions on tying dry flies. Summer (10:00am-12:00noon) Throughout the summer, from April through September, we offer a course every Saturday entitled, “Getting Started in Fly Fishing.” This free two hour seminar is taught by Blue Quill Angler guide Gary Okizaki, or another of our seasoned instructors. This class is designed to wet your appetite for more! If you have any interest in fly fishing, this class is a fantastic way to get started. The instructor will give an over view of what is involved in the wonderful sport of fly fishing covering such things as equipment needed, basic knots, simple fly selection and a casting lesson. This class is a precursor to our 101 and 201 classes where you will enjoy a truly hands on learning experience. Bring your rod and reel if you have one, otherwise, we will be more than happy to let you borrow one of ours!

Just a note of graditude.. I attended your "bug class" on March 1, 2003, the free one! It was awesome.... thank you! But what really impressed me was the guides and staff availibility and eagerness to share information and knowledge, I was able to get fly information on what, when, where and how.
