Every Saturday through September from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon. - Learn to Flyfish for Free: This is a free, two hour clinic that covers rigging your rod to fish dry flies, nymphs and streamers, casting, knots you will need to know, and how to catch your first fish on a fly rod. This is also a good refresher class to review the basics of flyfishing. NO RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED

Flyfishing Extravaganza:
This is our biggest event of the year when we invite local guides, authors and our flyfishing reps to come and "show the goods". We set up the big tent and have presentations by Blue Quill Angler guides Pat Dorsey, Steve Parrott, and Bob Dye. Other presenters will be John Barr, Landon Mayer, Carrie Carriger from the Orvis CO, Steve Sweitzer, and others. Many free products wil be raffled off during the days events. RIO Line CO will sponsor a fly casting competition. Free hot dogs at noon and lots of entertainment throughout the day. The days agenda will be sent out in our newsletter so sign up for updates.

Book Signing with John Gierach:
Legendary fly fishing author John Gierach will be on hand to sign his new book "No Shortage of Good Days", plus all of his many other books. John Gierach is the author of Trout Bum, At the Grave of the Unknown Fisherman, Standing in a River Waving a Stick, Dances with Trout, Even Brook trout Get the Blues, Fools Paradise, Death, Taxes, and Leaky Waders, Fly Fishing Small Streams, Good Flies, Sex, Death and Flyfishing, The View from Rat Lake, Still Life with Brook Trout. His work has appeared in Gray's Sporting Journal, Field & Stream, where he is a contributing writer, and Fly Rod & Reel, where he is a columnist. He also writes a column for the monthly Redstone Review. He lives in Lyons, Colorado. John captures the heart of the fly fisherman and is highly read by the Colorado Fly-fishing Community. John has been coming to the Blue Quill Angler for book signings for over 20 years. Refreshments will be served.
