At the Blue Quill Angler, we delight in the expertise of our beginner fly fishing instruction. This holds as true today as it was the first day the doors opened in 1988. We hope everyone, no matter the fly fishing skill level, feels welcome at BQA. The excitement of catching the first trout on a fly rod is something we feel needs to be shared and so we have made it our mission to teach the skills necessary to make this happen. In our experience, when the fly fishing bug bites, it bites hard. Some might say that it is due to the constant challenge of testing your wits against the elusive trout.Others say it is simply the draw of the out-of-doors. It is hard to say for certain what it is that attracts so many to the sport but we can tell you that it has changed our lives and, countless others, in many wonderful ways. People naturally want new experiences especially those that carry with them enjoyment and satisfaction. Fly fishing is one of these occasions and the more an angler knows about fly fishing the more fun and satisfying it becomes.
